Many advances have been made in test automation originating from many different backgrounds, e.g. a standardized test specification and implementation language from the telecommunication area, test driven development from the agile development school, crowd testing from the cloud community, and model-based testing from the formal testing approaches.
The Conference is dedicated to addressing the engineering and application aspects of testing methodologies and advanced test automation. It is a great opportunity for the « Testing community » to come together to share experiences and learn about the latest advances in the industrial use of test automation.

Objectives
A multitude of academic conferences and workshops on automated testing
already exist. Nevertheless, many industrial experts and test
practitioners miss an event dedicated to addressing engineering and
application aspects of test methodologies, and advanced test
automation. The ETSI User Conference on Advanced Automated Testing fills this gap
and offers an ideal opportunity for test designers, engineers working
in test specification and automation, novices as well as testing
experts, quality and/or project managers, and for test tool and service
providers from around the world to come together to see, hear about,
share experiences and learn about the latest advances in the industrial
use of test automation.

from applying advanced test automation technologies, e.g. TDL (Test
description language), TTCN-3 (Test and Test Control Notation), UTP
(UML Testing Profile), and domain-specific languages used in testing
